Since the NDP formed government in Alberta in 2015, the Manning Centre has been working with other groups to bring conservatives together in time for the next election.
- Limited government, including low levels of taxation to help generate economic growth while allowing Albertans to enjoy the fruits of their own labour,
- Grassroots democracy, including measures to empower Albertans to hold governments accountable during and between elections, and
- Fiscal responsibility, including balanced budgets, debt reduction, and respect for taxpayer’s money.
A new United Conservative Party will offer Albertans a real alternative in 2019 – one that believes in balanced budgets, sensible spending, low taxes, less red tape, and a limited government that puts hard-working everyday Albertans first.
